Abstract

We review the exact solution of matrix models with trace-squared terms which enhance the weight of microscopic wormholes on the world sheet. The new values of string susceptibility and of operator dimensions that are found in the modified matrix models are interpreted in terms of changing branch of gravitational dressing in the Liouville theory.
