Abstract
Theatre Association (ATA) seriously. Its annual conventions reek of apolitical, traditional dramatic pursuits. ATA’s sub-groups, for example, represent special interests like Army Theatre Arts, American Community Theatre, Children’s Theatre, Secondary School Theatre, University College Theatre, and National Association of Schools of Theatre. The Exhibition Halls set up for browsing at every convention offer such wares as fog machines, lekos, rainbows of pancake makeup and Shakespearian costumes modeled by willing actors.
