Abstract
The effects of a parallel magnetic field on a high mobility dilute two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) in a GaAs quantum well over an extended density range were studied. The transport measurements were performed on a high mobility low density 2DHG in a 10 nm wide GaAs quantum well. The results showed that a parallel magnetic field turned the anomalous 2D metallic state into a Fermi liquid.
