Wavelength-independent coherence cleaning by parametric plasma amplification

Abstract

Although incoherence generally suppresses stimulated scattering processes in plasma, we show that this requirement relaxes for parametric amplification in the pump-depletion regime, including for x rays, providing a compact wavelength-independent source of high-peak-power radiation.
