Wavefront amplitude and phase correction for high contrast imaging using Fourier decomposition

Abstract

Phase conjugation does not achieve the dark nulls needed for high-contrast imaging. We present an alternative optimized solution for the shaping of the deformable mirror based on the Fourier decomposition of the overall aberration.
