Abstract

In this paper we give a simple estimate of the Rabi frequency for holes in quantum dots in GaAs in the presence of an external rf field. It is shown that the only coupling is due to higher order matrix elements that lead to a very low Rabi frequency of the order of 10 kHz for typical RF fields.
