Abstract

The use of two-fluid tearing instability on short scales by shear Alfven (SA) and slow magnetoacoustic (MA) modes was analyzed. The tearing equations were derived on the basis of plasma compressibility and Hall term. The resistive diffusion of magnetic field perturbation was obtained by using hot plasma model. The result shows the use of tearing equations in transition from cold to hot plasma when SA was involved in the dynamics of instability.
