Abstract
A self-consistent model, allowing to calculate for a given pulse of a current all process of spark discharge formation and the subsequent cooling of the after-spark channel and restoration of dielectrical strength (RDS) with allowance for generation and dissipation of turbulent motion of gas, is considered in the present work. The results are compared with known experiments1,2,in which the dependence of speed of RDS on the characteristics of a pulse of a current was open, determining, finally, intensity of turbulent motion, arising in the cooling down channel.
