Abstract

Turbo multiuser detection refers to joint channel decoding and multiuser detection using an iterative exchange of soft information between the two processes. This technique, which offers an attractive combination of low complexity and near-optimal performance, has been examined by several authors in recent years with very promising results. This paper provides a brief introduction to this area.
