Abstract
We present a sequence of magneto-transport studies on two-dimensional electrons in high magnetic fields. We emphasized our experimental finding of the re-entrant behavior in the thermal activation energy of the magneto-resistance around the v = 1 5 fractional quantum Hall state. Several of these transport features suggest the formation of a solid phase in this low-filling factor regime. Finally we compared our conclusions with those reached by other authors.
