Abstract
Occurrence of transparent linear anomalous dispersion in presence of gain doublet was shown theoretically and experimentally. A superluminal light-pulse propagation was observed even at negative group velocity through transparent medium. A negative transit time was experimentally observed resulting in the peak of the light pulse to exit the medium even before entering it.
