Theory of the spatial structure of non-linear modes in conventional and random lasers

Abstract

A new formalism for calculating exact non-linear multi-mode lasing states for complex resonators is applied to a conventional edge-emitting laser and a 2D random laser. Novel "composite" random lasing states are expected.
