Abstract
Recent experiments have observed the Kondo effect in a variety of novel systems. These include single magnetic impurities on surfaces, quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, and Buckyballs (C60 molecules). Here, I review the spin-1/2 Kondo effect, with an eye toward recognizing novel Kondo systems.
