The concept of legalization

We understand legalization as a particular form of institutionalization char¬acterized by three components: Obligation, precision, and delegation. In this article, we introduce these three characteristics, explore their variability and the range of institutional forms produced by combining them, and explicate the elements of legalization in greater detail.
