Abstract

The nonequilibrium thermodynamics in glassy systems based on deriving the soft-sphere potential properties was studied. In this regard, the exact expression for the pressure of a frozen liquid corresponding to configurations which were local minima in its multidimensional potential energy landscape (PEL) were derived. The study demonstrated that the nonequilibrium free energy was capable of describing the soft-sphere pressure in glass states.
