Abstract

The preparation of the iridium tetrahydride (^iPrBDI)IrH₄(BDI = ArNC(Me)CH(Me)CNAr, Ar = 2,6-ⁱPr₂C₆H₃) and its activity in the catalytic C–H activation of arenes is described.
