Abstract

Supercontinuum quantum cascade laser was presented. The light output and voltage versus current characteristics of a 12 μm wide and 2.25 mm long laser for several heat sink temperatures between cryogenic temperature and room temperature were shown. The peak optical power of more than 1.3 W and a slope efficiency of 350 mW/A was measured.
