Abstract

The lumped model developed in the earlier paper, for fluidized bed steam-oxygen-char gasification is modified by taking into consideration the bubbling nature of the fluid flow. The bubbles were assumed to be uniform in size and the computations were carried out treating the bubble size as a parameter. It was found that the char conversion as well as the methane mole fraction in the product gases decreases when the bubble size is increased.
