Abstract

Structures have been determined by neutron powder profile analysis for KNbWO6, K1.88NbWO6 and KNbWO6·0.69D2O. The compounds are all cubic defect pyrochlores in space group Fd3m. The [NbWO6] framework is very similar in each structure, whereas K occupies quite different sites in the three compounds.
