Abstract

A new set of ideas within the setting of cavity OED, including state-insensitive trapping suitable for strong coupling were outlined. Trapping of single atoms with g0≫(δ0, κ, γ) was achieved with lifetimes τ≃2-3 s. Continuous observations of multiple atoms in a cavity were considered.
