Abstract
An overview is given on the results on systems away from half-filling using the unscreened Coulomb interactions. These results suggest that charge density waves (CDWs) are formed at all filling factors, including those that would support prominent FQH states or composite fermion Fermi-liquid states in the lowest or first excited Landau levels.
