Abstract
Waveform characteristics of short Terahertz pulses, such as frequency chirp and carrier phase, induce complex transformations of the pulse in diffraction. We experimentally demonstrate that for a described class of Terahertz pulses the diffraction transformation reduces to the fundamental π/2-phase shift and spectral amplitude deformation.
