Abstract
The spatio-temporal evolution of charged species densities and wall fluxes during the afterglow of an electronegative discharge was investigated. It was found that decay of plasma with negative ions is different from that of electropositive plasma. The decay of plasma with negative ions consisted of two stages. The first stage where electrons dominate the plasma diffusion. The second stage where the electron escape frequency is considerably increased in the presence of negative ions.
