Spatial gap solitons in 2D photonic lattices

Abstract

We report the experimental observation of new types of Gap solitons in 2D photonic lattices: solitons carrying angular momentum arising from the second band, and gap randomphase lattice solitons, constructed by spatially partially incoherent light.
