Abstract
Problems of reachability involving the transfer of the state of a dynamical process using admissible inputs are studied. A review of the mathematical procedures available for nonlinear processes is given, and these system-theoretic results are then applied in a variety of natural-resource management settings. The paper concludes with a discussion of associated issues such as monitoring, feedback, and network routing.
