Abstract

The rate of capture of solar neutrinos per ³⁷Cl atom is found to be 0.7 × 10^-35 sec^-1 and 4.9 × 10^-35 sec^-1 for two extreme assumptions regarding the measured low-energy nuclear cross sections. The dependence of the ⁸B solar neutrino flux on the low-energy cross-section factor for ³He(α,γ)⁷Be, S₃₄ is found to be S₃₄^0.7.
