Single quantum dots for probing local environments

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

The intermittent emission of individual quantum dots makes it challenging to probe time-dependent changes. We explain strategies to overcome these difficulties and discuss using them as ratiometric resonance energy transfer-based probes and as temperature sensors.
