Abstract

Resonant Enhanced Multiphoton Ionization (REMPI) and electron avalanche ionization (EAI) were measured simultaneously in an Ar-Xe mixtures at different partial pressures of mixture components. A simple theory for combined REMPI+EAI in gas mixture was developed. Possible applications are discussed.
