Abstract
Describes the basic structure of a typical general circulation model of the atmosphere and that of the joint ocean atmosphere system. Discusses some alternate approaches to the construction of key components of a model. In addition, the present state of the art in climate simulation is discussed with reference to the climates produced by some of the models developed at the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory. -from Author
