Abstract
The mechanistic model of discrete one-dimensional arrays of autocrine cells interacting via diffusible signals is discussed. The model was reduced to a system of ordinary differential equations for the intercellular variables. The uniform secretion of s by the nth cell at the bottom of the layer was controlled by an intercellular species with concentration p n. The result show the exact discrete traveling wave and static kink solution with sharp threshold nonlinearity.
