Abstract

Synchrotron radiation from a hot plasma can give information on certain plasma parameters. The dependence on plasma parameters is particularly sensitive for the transient radiation response to a brief, deliberate, perturbation of hot plasma electrons. The authors investigate how such a radiation response can be used to diagnose a variety of plasma parameters in a Tokamak.
