Abstract

Early results from a Brookhaven experiment designed to search for the rare decay K⁺ → π⁺νν are presented. A preliminary 90% confidence level branching ratio upper limit of BR(K⁺ → π⁺νν) < 3 × 10^-8 is set. Preliminary upper limits of BR(K⁺ → π⁺μ⁺μ^-) < 2.1 × 10^-7 and BR(π⁰ → νν) < 8 × 10^-7 at the 90% confidence level are also given.
