Abstract

Early results from a Brookhaven experiment designed to search for the rare decay K+ → π+νν are presented. A preliminary 90% confidence level branching ratio upper limit of BR(K+ → π+νν) < 3 × 10-8 is set. Preliminary upper limits of BR(K+ → π+μ+μ-) < 2.1 × 10-7 and BR(π0 → νν) < 8 × 10-7 at the 90% confidence level are also given.
