Abstract

The simplest quantum dimer model on the triangular lattice was taken into account. It was shown that the dimer does possess a short ranged resonating valence bond (RVB) phase with gapped collective modes, gapped deconfined spinos, and spin-charge separation in its charged excitation spectrum. The presence of nearby crystalline phases with confined spinons was established.
