Quantum cascade laser frequency comb tuning dynamics with rf-injection

Abstract

We demonstrate precise control of quantum cascade laser frequency comb repetition rate through rf-injection. The observed optical frequency tuning of comb modes indicates completely different comb dynamics with rf-injection as compared to conventional current/thermal tuning.
