Abstract

Nontopological solitons known as Q-balls are proposed as candidates for collisional dark matter. The self-interactions of these Q-balls are characterized by a large cross section due to their extended geometry. It is conceivable that Q-balls have significant interactions with ordinary matter, either strong interactions or interactions mediated by a heavy Z' boson.
