Abstract

Bis(η⁵-cyclopentadienyl)bis(phosphine)zirconium(II) complexes were prepared by ligand-induced reductive elimination of alkane from bis(η⁵-cyclopentadienyl)chloroalkylzirconium(IV) precursors. Reactions of these species with H₂, CO, other phosphines, acetylenes, olefins, arenes, and organic halides are described.
