Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time polarization-insensitive cross-phase modulation in a 10.5-m highly-Germanium-doped (75%) nonlinear-fiber. Its high compatibility with standard single mode fiber allows a compact homogenous platform for nonlinear optical signal processing and switching.
