Planar Fluorescence Imaging of Vibrationally Excited Molecular Oxygen using a Seeded Optical Parametric Oscillator

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution

Abstract

An optical parametric oscillator (OPO) was developed for planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) imaging of vibrationally excited molecular oxygen in a propane flame. The results presented in this paper demonstrate the ability of the tunable OPO to reach the targeted two-line rotational feature and the ability to obtain PLIF signal with an on-resonance seeded OPO configuration. Future applications include the capture of emission spectra for two-line thermometry experiments in flames and high-enthalpy hypersonic ground facilities.
