Abstract

Sites of host-range mutations have been mapped physically on the adenoviral genome by both recombinational mapping with host-range deletion mutants and by marker rescue. The results from the two methods are in excellent agreement; one group of mutations is assigned to the sequence between 1.3 and 3.7 units and the other set to the sequence between 6.1 and 8.5 units.
