Phase-space measurements of partially coherent modulation instability

Abstract

We present experimental measurements of the phase-space spectrogram of a beam that is undergoing partially coherent modulation instability in a self-focusing photorefractive crystal. All elements of phase space contribute to the propagation dynamics.
