Abstract

The induced phase mixing in nonlinear dynamic systems subjected to a time-dependent external field was reported. The mechanism was shown to cause effective dissipation and a model was applied to the classical system of cold atomic clouds in optical traps. The parametric nonadiabatic modulation of laser intensity was shown to provide dynamic control of effective relaxation in the systems.
