Abstract
In this paper, we consider the observed losses of stratospheric ozone in the middle and high latitudes over the past decade and investigate the resultant radiative forcing of the climate system. Details of the scientific aspects of this problem can be found in the 1992 World Meteorological Organization Scientific Assessment of Ozone Depletion and in the 1992 Intergovernmental Program on Climate Change report; only a brief description is given here.
