Performance investigation of polarization-multiplexed 16-QAM using all-optical OFDM transmission and digital coherent detection

Abstract

We generated a 500-Gb/s AO-OFDM signal with DP-16QAM modulating each subcarrier and detected the signal using coherent detection. We investigated the effects of DSP oversampling and receiver bandwidth using experimental results and numerical simulations.
