Abstract

Multi-pass cell-enhanced Faraday rotation spectroscopy for paramagnetic gas species is affected by elliptical polarization introduced by interactions within the cell mirrors. We demonstrate a reduction in unwanted ellipticity using a quarter wave plate and quantify the improvement in SNR.
