Abstract

An optically accessible high-pressure combustion apparatus was discussed. The apparatus provides optical access for the observation of premixed reaction fronts at high pressures. The apparatus has gap-adjustable electrodes for spark ignition and ports for jet stirring. The apparatus is well suited for the study of laminar premixed flames and turbulent flames.
