Abstract

We present the first observation of wave dynamics in 2D Penrose-Tile quasi-periodic optical lattices, including experiments on linear "discrete" diffraction from various lattice sites, nonlinear (self-focusing) localization, and experiments on nonlinearly interacting quasi-periodic lattices.
