Abstract

The propagation of optical pulses through metallic nano-apertures was studied. The pulse delay, spectral phase and transmission modulations for ultra-short pulses transmitted through two-dimensional arrays of nano-apertures was measured. The observed features and the physical mechanisms were discussed in the context of wave propagation through linear systems.
