Optical frequency-shift-keying (FSK) encoded pulses for high-capacity label switching applications

Abstract

We demonstrate the combination of optical FSK modulated label with the on-off-keying modulated payload on the same carrier of optical pulses. The scheme has advantage of supporting ultra-high-capacity label switching applications.
