Open-path greenhouse gas sensor for UAV applications

Abstract

We demonstrate an open-path, compact, low power, VCSEL based sensor for measuring trace gas species in the atmosphere. The sensor was tested on a robotic UAV helicopter and demonstrated stable performance throughout its operation.
